TECHNICAL SALES/PRODUCT MANAGER - IMAGING Holliston, Massachusetts, USA
POSITION SUMMARY This position is the technical product champion for the Imaging product line, providing leadership for Digilab’s Imaging products. This position plans, organizes, and controls the Imaging product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial and corporate growth objectives. This position reports to the Director-Technical Sales. The position will be based in our corporate offices in Holliston, MA.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creates a technical marketing plan, working with US, European and Asian Digilab sales personnel, distributors and possible customers to drive and deliver technical marketing and seminar programs; submit posters and papers to trade shows and seminars; and assist the sales force in technical presentations on the imaging products at key customer locations.
Author and present papers and posters at key trade shows and technical seminars.
Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of imaging product sales, marketing and development.
Collaborates with a wide variety of functional areas such as sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and oparations to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities.
Creates technical materials, applications notes, literature and sales tools which will assist in gaining customer interest and help the sales force generate product sales.
Conducts marketing analysis to maintain accurate understanding for the market, and recommend and help create product definitions.
Conducts market research and identifies and tracks market trends.
Create and provide competitive analysis materials comparing imaging products with its key competitors.
Work with global sales organization, distributors and customers to obtain future requirements, order win/loss and other sales information.
Working with worldwide sales organizations, will provide monthly reports on total pipeline for the imaging products, and provide updates on the short, medium and long term imaging products forecast.
Identify partnering opportunities for third party products to broaden Digilab's imaging product line.
Provides financial and technical justification for product selection and definition
Participates in key sales situations for the product.
Manages day-to-day progress of product.
Maintains communications and contacts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule and sales information for product line.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or related science; PhD preferred.
Requires strong knowledge of microscopy, imaging cell analysis or High Content Analysis product and technologies.
Minimum 3-5 years experience in imaging, with proven track record in technical sales.
Excellent organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Sound decision making ability; critical thinking skills, and excellent communication are required.
Travel required, domestically and internationally.
