Digilab Introduces Identity Raman Reader into Asian MarketDigilab, Inc. (Holliston, MA) is pleased to announce the introduction of its Identity Raman Reader into Asia. The Raman Plate Reader was recently shown at the 23rd annual INTERPHEX 2010 show in Tokyo, Japan for the high throughput measurement and identification of samples using the Raman spectroscopy. There have been substantial technology advancements in recent years in the miniaturization of spectrometers, data storage, laser technology, robotics and automation. Digilab combined these advancements in the IDENTITY Raman Reader, enabling the high throughput measurement of multiple samples in microtiter plates or slides. The Raman Spectroscopy Reader can be used with 96 or 384 well microtiter plates, glass slides or optional tablet holder. The Identity Raman Reader is fast and accurate, and can measure and analyze samples in a 96-well plate in under 5 minutes. The Identity is configurable with either 532nm or 785 nm laser, has optional plate adaptors for measuring liquids, powders and solid samples, and the Identity software will store data files in compatible formats for many spectral analysis and library search-and-build software packages.
